1.) Jamie Stewart is still one of the nicest men on the planet. He's currently in a new band with Freddy Ruppert (this song is a mess but so am i) called Former Ghosts. If you get a chance to see them live, I suggest you do so. I also suggest you purchase their album, "Fleurs" (amazing) and one of their pink & black shirts (you know how much I love that colour scheme). Please take my word on this, okay? This is not shallow product placement. A very touching show in Atlanta tonight.

1.) Sidewalk has released their schedule. Join co-director Jeremiah and me as well as actress Diane Rose at these screenings. We'll be selling copies of Catfish with Falcon Wings and answering your questions in the vaguest terms possible.

2.) And now my favorite bit of news from the day: death industrial artist Roger Karmanik [better known as Brighter Death Now] has been one of my strongest influences for years. The scores to the films found on Catfish with Falcon Wings are directly influenced by his style. So I'm very proud to announce that Roger is a fan of Catfish and has asked to used clips for background projection and dialogue sampling in some upcoming shows he's playing in Russia. These shows will be the source material for a 2-disc live album, which will retain the audio clips. This is a real dream come true. I'll keep you updated on the release of that CD.

More news coming sooner than later. Keep an eye out, okay?

Hallelujah! Gorilla Revival and the 48 hour cut of Hollow Porcelain Fish Chamber will play at the 11th Annual Sidewalk Moving Picture Film Festival this September. This is very fine news.

It was announced very late for unknown reasons, but it was recently revealed that Hallelujah! Gorilla Revival won Best Experimental Short at the 2009 Nashville Film Festival.

Every Friday this month at 6 PM Central, Final Broadcast will be airing a Reining Nails themed show which will consist of The Man with Apple-Shaped Boxing Gloves (2006), Hail Cracking Cobra Eggs (2007), Hallelujah! Gorilla Revival (2008), Hollow Porcelain Fish Chamber (2009), Athazagoraphobia (2009) and I don't love anyone anymore. (2009).

100 copies of Catfish with Falcon Wings have been distributed so far. So that's good.

Here's some teasers for you: a new (narrative) short and a (narrative) feature  film are both in pre-production and should screen together at film festivals in 2010. Both will star Pop Skull star/The Dash In Between frontman, Lane Hughes. And an ambitious can of zebras/Diane Rose ambient album will begin in the following months, as well. Also, Indie Memphis' Erik Jambor has commissioned a video art piece that will be screened on a building at night in Memphis, TN.

The Bottletree Cafe in Birmingham, AL will be hosting the release party/screening of Catfish with Falcon Wings, the RN DVD+R EP the world has been waiting for, on June 8th at 8 PM. Admission will be free and there will be drink and appetizer specials. Jeremiah & I will be in attendance, along with misc. cast members.
