Bottletree will be hosting a DVD release party Monday, June 8, and will be screening all four of the short films made by Jason LaRay Keener and Jeremiah Ledbetter of Reining Nails Productions.

In addition to the films from the DVD, the program is to include screenings of bizarre Dadaist, surrealist and absurdist short films from masters of strangeness such as Luis Bunuel, Salvador Dali, David Lynch and Jan Švankmajer who influenced the filmmakers.

The films liken themselves to a strange, sporadic dream with trippy music, layered images and peculiar scenes that merge comedy with horror. Some shots show wonderful cinematography while others feel as if you've stumbled upon a random, shakey home video. Overall, the films are definitely creative and are like nothing you will usually see.
